AmiGO

First Presentation of AmiGO, a project which main goal is offer a low cost robot for the children using mostly reciclables materials for 15 dollars or less, helping to the understanding of the technology.
AmiGO allows to control a robot over linux, using the CPU as IA (Artificial Intelligence) module, however their offer is run over the OLPC acting as a "the brain" and communicate through RF. After that, an "amigo" (friend) follows to the owner everywhere and through the sensors, it feels, sense, learn, etc.

This is an Education Project: the children learn about physics, matemathics, locomotion, dynamics, etc. and with the proper guidance their work can be very usefull to the world.
